New York Yankees beat Atlanta Braves 6-2 in Game 5 of the NLDS, and it appears the Blue Jays have finally put an end to the Atlanta Braves’ five-game winning streak.
After a 3-1 victory over the Braves on Monday, Toronto scored seven runs in the fifth inning to lead 2-0, and the Jays scored two in the seventh on a RBI single by Aaron Sanchez.
The Jays went on to win the series 3-2, sending the Braves home in Game 6 to face the New York Mets in a potential Game 7.
The series was decided in seven innings, and was tied 3-3 when the Blue Jays hit two home runs in Game 7, clinching the series for the Yankees.
The Blue Jays will host the Mets in Game 1 on Tuesday night.
